Local and global parameters are linked in such a form that some of them can be changed indirectly.
This interaction is explained below.
Local and global tetra parameters are linked by means of the "Max. Size" values. "Max. Size" values greater than "Global element seed size" and less than "Min. size limit" are not allowed. In fact the values are corrected or recalculated interactively if you modify them incorrectly. Recalculated values will be highlighted.

By changing global prism parameters, the same values are used for local parameters in all local parts. In addition, other parameters can be recalculated. The modification of local parameters will never affect any global parameters. •Modification of "Growth law": when the growth law is modified, new values for "total height" and "height factor" will be recalculated for all parts using the current local parameters values h0 , r and n for each part. •Modification of "Layers": when the number of layers is modified for a part, the total height of the prism layers will be recalculated using the values of h0 and r for this part. With the new value of ht, the height factor will be recalculated too. •Modification of "Height": when the height is modified for a part, the total height of the prism layers will be recalculated using the values of n and r for this part. With the new value of ht, the height factor will be recalculated too. •Modification of "Height ratio": when the height ratio is modified for a part, the total height of the prism layers will be recalculated using the values of n and r for this part. With the new value of ht, the height factor will be recalculated too. •Modification of "Total height": when the total height is modified for a part, the recalculation process depends on the selected option for the "Prism layers control". If the option "Fix ratio" was selected a new value for h0 will be calculated using the values of n and r for the part. If the option "Fix initial height" was selected a new value for r will be calculated using the values of n and h0 for this part. Finally, the height factor will be recalculated too. •Modification of "Height factor": when the height factor is modified for a part, the recalculation process depends on the selected option for the "Prism layers control". First, with the value of emax for the part, ht is recalculated. If the option "Fix ratio" was selected a new value for h0 will be calculated using the values of n and r for this part. If the option "Fix initial height" was selected a new value for r will be calculated using the values of n and h0 for this part. Recalculation of parameters Total height will be calculated with the following expressions depending on the selected growth law:
